Hello,
Ed held a special place in my heart and I am so saddened I was unable to attend the funeral today. My mother lives in the same complex as he did and whenever I came to visit her, I'd see Ed walking Lacey. When I was in University, Ed took me to the farm and I rode Poppy. This past Christmas, I stopped by to visit Ed and he was so proud of his grandson being part of the Stratford Festival. We watched a few previews of the plays he'd been in and Ed's eyes just lit up.
If there is anything you need help with through this difficult time, please let me know. I will miss Ed dearly.
My condolences to your family,
Tara Parachuk

My sincere condolences to Leslie, Mike and family. We have lost a truly genuine and compassionate human being, family member and true friend. I will miss my dear friend beyond what words can adequately express. Our visits and conversations over the years have been so encouraging. A wonderful, classy guy.

I am so very saddened to hear of Ed’s passing. He was so kind, funny, and lovely to chat with. I’ve got to know him over the past 7 years and would bring Raven my dog to visit. I thought it might be nice after Marylin passed and we became good friends. I met him through my Aunt. Her friend Joe was an employee with Ed being his boss and joe a pharma rep.
To Ed age I didn’t seem to matter as he had acquaintances of all ages. He would often speak of his grand kids and I got to know all the stories. He was so so proud of you all. All good stories of course. He loved his friends and called Winnie every day the two of them back and forth.
I think the loss of his two horses set him back this year and I tried to visit as much as I could to keep him company.
We talked politics, health you name it. I cannot believe he’s left us as there will be a little piece that seems just missing. We even realized that we were from the Gibson family. My maiden name is Gibson all from muskoka region.
Near the end he often would give me hugs and hold my hand and always put on a good show, and was also stubborn. I’m sorry we never met and I am also very sorry for your loss. He was a gentle soul who had a huge heart. I will miss him dearly as I am sure you all will. My condolences to you all. Tracy Mills.
