Obituary of Betty Howett

Passed away peacefully at Middlesex Terrace Longterm Care on August 30th, 2019, at the age of 91.  She attended the Royal College of Art in London, England, graduating with a degree in Fashion Design.  After working in the theatre, she embarked on an adventure with her husband, moving to India, Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and later Canada, where they raised their two sons.  Predeceased by her husband Jack, and her brother and sister.  Mother of David (Elizabeth), Peter (Nancy), grandmother of Susan (Matthew), Katherine, Julia and great grandmother of Isla.  She is fondly remembered as a great cook and talented artist.  Special  thanks  to the wonderful staff at Longworth Retirement Residence and at Middlesex Terrace.  Cremation has taken place.  There will be a Memorial Service at Mount Pleasant Cemetery Chapel (London) at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 8th, 2019.  Donations to the IODE or charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
