Obituary of Frederick Roy Heatherley

HEATHERLEY, Fred Passed away peacefully at Parkwood Institute. 4th floor Elgin, Veterans wing on December 30th, 2019 at the age of 95. Fred will be missed by his son Terry (Leslie) Heatherley and his 2 grandchildren Scott (Andrea) Heatherley & Jill (Dave) Thompson. Proud great grandpa of Reed & Fiona. He is survived by his 2 siblings Pringle (Sally) Heatherley & Betty (Charles) Phelps. Predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years, June Heatherley, his parents Leonard & Ethel Heatherley and several siblings. Fred was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII. He worked many years as a truck driver for Intercity Truck Lines until his retirement in 1989. Fred enjoyed racing and breeding standardbred horses for many years. The Heatherley Family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Parkwood Institute and Senior Home Care by Angels for their wonderful care over the last 9 years.
