Obituary of Elizabeth Janet Little

Elizabeth (Beth) Janet Little passed away peacefully at Mount Hope Centre for Longterm Care on January 21, 2020 at the age of 96. Beth was born on November 10, 1923 in PortReeve, Saskatchewan and spent her early years in nearby Kindersley. Her parents, Mabel and Herbert Peebles, were Saskatchewan homesteaders in the 1930’s. The family moved to the Atwood, Ontario area in 1939. Beth was predeceased by her loving husband, J. Elgin Little (1990). She was a devoted mother to Susan Kelley (David), Massachusetts, Ken Little (Kiran), Toronto and Laurie Main (Steven), London. Beth is remembered warmly by her grandchildren, Caroline, Nathan, Sarah, James, Anjuli, Tony and Melinda, as well as her great-grandchildren, Theo, Oliver, Soren, Austin, Eloise, and Claire. Listowel, Ontario was home for Beth and Elgin where they raised their children and contributed to the life of the community. Beth was an active volunteer at Knox Presbyterian Church and a long term member of the Listowel Golf Club. Her life will be honoured with a family celebration in the spring.
