Obituary of Margaret "Jean" Scott

Margaret “Jean” Scott (Millar) passed away peacefully the morning of Tuesday, January 18, 2022 with her loving daughters by her side. Jean was born in northern Manitoba on November 28, 1934 to Angus and Margaret. She moved to Winnipeg in her early twenties, fell in love and married Peter Scott. Jean joined Peter in building a life in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with moves to Vancouver, B.C., Lambeth, Dorchester and Grimsby, Ontario. Daughter Kerry was born in Winnipeg, and Carol in Vancouver. Jean and Peter enjoyed time spent at the horse races, camping with their trailer, time at the beach, and socializing with friends. She was predeceased by Peter in 1987. She moved to London, Ontario, to be closer to family. She loved to garden and spend time with her large circle of friends. The sunshine of her life, her granddaughter Katie was born in 1999. They spent many hours together laughing, acting silly, baking, watching movies and just enjoying life. She will be in our loving memories forever remembered by her children Kerry (Dave), Carol (Steve), and granddaughter Katie. She held a special place in her heart, and will be fondly remembered by her loving companion Angus Fraser. Jean was predeceased by her parents Angus and Margaret, and siblings John, Barbara (Don) and Jim (Julie). She is also survived by siblings George (Valerie) and David (Gladys), and numerous nieces and nephews. A private family interment has taken place. At Jean’s request, there will be no funeral service.
