Obituary of Maris Indulis Deics

Passed away peacefully with his son at his side on Saturday February 26, 2022 at Victoria Hospital in London, On., at the age of 82. Beloved husband of the late Meg Deics. Loving father of Lindi Baker, Jae Deics (Dawn), Drew Deics (Michelle), Audra Deics (Dan) and Vicki Deics (Jamie). Cherished grandfather to Ashley (Joe), Matthew (Brittany), Amber (Chris),Nick (Kate), Zack (Renee), Erin, Andrew, Colby, Alexa, Brenden, Bryce, Quinn, Connor, Max and Great Grandfather to Ayden, Tanner, Lincoln, Piper, Damien, Fletcher, Archer and Ezra. Dear Brother to the late Ojars Deics and Uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Maris joined the Canadian Military at the age of 17 and selflessly dedicated 35 years serving his country. After retiring he continued to work for the city of Ottawa for 10+ years. He could always be found cheering on his favourite hockey team, watching the Y&R and his latest favourite past time of making pottery. Maris will be deeply missed.
