Obituary of Donald Carroll King

KING, Donald C. – Passed away peacefully at University Hospital in London, Ontario, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 in his 94th year. Don was the third son of William and Thelma King of Kingston, Ontario. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn King (nee Hough) and loving father of David (d. Chris 2019), Paul (Jacqueline), Jennifer (Jeff) Hobson all of London, and Steven (Angelina) of Kingston. Dear Grandfather of Daniel (Shauna), Stephen (Katie), Ian (Nora), Laura, Kyle, and Katelyn. Great Grandfather to Savannah, Isaac, Charlotte, and Harris. Don was pre-deceased by his brothers William, G. Wallace (Wallie) and Harry. Don will be remembered for his endless positivity and ‘glass-half-full’ outlook on life. He was a passionate family historian and avid sports fan who enjoyed the outdoors and sketching in his spare time. Don had a noted sweet tooth, known to never pass up dessert, especially anything baked by his wife Evelyn. Cremation has occurred and interment will take place on a future date at Cataraqui Cemetery in Kingston, ON, with a private family gathering to follow celebrating his life. The King family is grateful for the devoted McCormick Home staff who provided wonderful care and support since 2017.
