Obituary of Soumaya Attie Menassa

Passed away peacefully with her daughter and grandson by her side on February 21^st, 2019, at the age of 94 years. Survived by her family in London (Rima Menassa and Daniel Khayat), Montreal (her sister Souad and Hikmat Sukkarieh, niece Maha Hazboun, nephew Said Sukkarieh) and Lebanon (her brother Samuel Attié, nephews and nieces Amal Chelala, Lutfallah and Julia Haddad, Raja and Jacqueline Haddad, Mona Haddad) and a numerous extended family. Soumaya Attié Menassa was an elegant woman with a tender and loving soul. Family was always her priority, and her love radiated through a smile that brightened lives around her. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of family and friends, and the many people she helped along her journey, spanning a long career as a teacher in Lebanon. She spent the last few years of her life with her daughter and grandson and laughed heartily at every opportunity.

"A memorial service will be held during mass on May 12th, 2019, at 10:30am at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church of Montreal located at 555-575, rue Jean-Talon Est, Montreal (Quebec) H2R 1T8. A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall at 12:00pm."
