Obituary of Sharon Lea Kiewiet

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Lea Kiewiet, who died peacefully at University Hospital in London, Ontario on February 1, 2023, after a brief illness. Born in 1948, Sharon was a beloved mother to Christine Holmes (Tim) and Jacqueline Groves, and a devoted sister to Mick Walker (Anne). Sharon was also cherished by her eight grandchildren: Ashley, Dylan, Sara, Angela, Denver, Connor, Liam, and Ari. Sharon was pre-deceased by her mother, Norma Walker (2011), father Walter Walker (2006), brother Dean Walker (2018), and sister Bonnie Lou Walker (1957). The family would like to express their gratitude to the hospital staff for their kind and compassionate care during this difficult time. Sharon will be remembered for her kindness and unwavering love for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In accordance with her wishes, Sharon will be donating the gift of sight. A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held in the spring, at a date and time to be announced. In the meantime, a private family gathering will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Sharon’s memory.
