Obituary of Arthur Boyd
Arthur Boyd (85) of London, Ontario, died unexpectedly of a heart attack on September 27, 2023, surrounded by family. Art was born in Belfast, Ireland and immigrated to Canada with family at age 17. For most of his adult life, Art was an avid sailor and built the Ailsa Craig himself. He loved tinkering with cars and enjoyed a beer by the fire with friends. He was intuitively intelligent and enjoyed reading and following world news. Art enjoyed travel: cruises and road trips alike. Art is predeceased by his first wife Gaye and is survived by his wife Susan, his daughters Tracey (Jim), Jennifer (Glen) and Bonnie (Pat) and their families. He is predeceased by his brother Jim and sister Florence and survived by his brother John (Jane) and many nieces and nephews. Art will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him! While he was an introvert at heart, his generosity and kindness was unmatched. Art's choice was for a simple and modest celebration of life, details to be confirmed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Royal Canadian Legion, Port Stanley Branch 410. Online condolences may be made at Mount Pleasant Cemetery (London) Inc. www.mpcemetery.ca.
