Obituary of Helen Cathy Grant

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Cathy Grant at University Hospital, London Ontario on October 2, 2023, at the age of 65. She passed peacefully surrounded by loving family members. Born in Toronto, Helen had a passion for racing cars. Whether in a circuit or drag racing, her need for speed kept her busy at the track. Always surrounded by a supportive and loving family, Helen enjoyed time spent with them. She loved to cook for her family at Christmas and other holidays and took joy in large gatherings. In her later years, Helen grew to love the game of golf. She competed within her golf community, often outdriving her husband and her brothers. Her love of travel took her and her husband to places such as Greece, Mexico, the Caribbean, and many other countries. Helen is survived by her husband of 17 years, Pio, Son Markie, Mother Carolyn, Sisters Carrie and Christine, Brothers Donny and John, nieces and nephews and will be missed by many extended family members and friends. A special thank you to the staff in the Medicine Unit at University Hospital, London for your care and compassion. In keeping with Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, if you are so moved, please make a donation in Helen’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. Friends and family are invited to a memorial reception at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Chapel and Reception Center, on October 14, 2023 from 10:00am to 12:30pm at 303 Riverside Drive, London, Ontario.
