Obituary of Dawn Ann Yates

In the morning hours of Saturday, December 23, 2023, Dawn Ann Yates passed peacefully, after a short stay at St. Joseph’s Hospice in London, Ontario, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on November 30, 1958. Prior to early retirement and illness, Dawn touched many lives as she served as a community nurse. She was known for her infectious smile, giggles and charisma which she held onto until her very last day. Her generous heart will never be forgotten. Dawn will be missed by so many loved ones: her father Henry Yates; son Justin Yates; daughter Leah Lentini (Joe); grandchildren Joey Lentini, Ellis Lentini and Taylor Costa Yates. Sister of Gerry Yates (Filomena) and Craig Yates. Aunt to Francesco Yates and Morgan Henderson. Niece of Jerry and Jane Yates. She will be remembered by her cousins and many friends. Dawn will be joining the late Carl Micheal Anderson and her late mother Bernice Morgan Yates. Gone are the days of suffering. “Fly like a free butterfly at the break of Dawn, Mama”. “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away” (Rev. 21:4)
