Obituary of Clair Edward Strange

Clair Edward Strange passed away peacefully on December 26, 2023 at the age of 100, at The Veteran’s Care Program, Parkwood Institute. Predeceased by his beloved wife Nora in 2006; he is survived by his four children, Ted (Marie), Nancy, Rick (Denice), and Lori(Peter). He also leaves behind four grandchildren and six great grandsons. A veteran of WW 2, Clair chose the Air Force as his career following the war. After retiring from The Armed Forces, Clair ran sheltered workshops for both CMHA and Goodwill. He later became executive director of Hutton House in London. In his retirement years Clair enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, and was a long term member of The Forest City Flyers Club. He was also a volunteer driver for Meals On Wheels for almost 10 years. Final arrangements are being handled by Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family wishes to extend huge, heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful, amazing staff in The Veteran’s Care Program.
