Obituary of Carol Elizabeth Ashdown

Words cannot express the sadness we feel at the loss of our dear Mom. Carol left us in her sleep on February 4th. She was the loving wife for 55 years of the late Bruce, extraordinary mother and mother-in-law of Catherine and Neal, Colleen and John, Chris and Anukta, grandmother of Laren and Madeleine, and aunt of Kiersten and Jamie. The essence of Carol was kindness, generosity and pragmatism, which she showered upon family, friends and strangers in equal measure. A voracious reader, a lively conversationalist, a life-long learner, an avid Tai Chi practitioner and walker, a design and floor plan enthusiast, a sage advisor, a left-hand turn avoider and a ray of sunshine. Carol loved living in old South London and spending summers at French Bay on Lake Huron. She is and forever will be deeply missed.
