Obituary of James John Taunton
James (Aka Jim Todd) John Taunton, 77, passed away in London University hospital on February 16th. Born on August 14, 1946, James lived a full and vibrant life from beginning to end and touched the lives of many people along the way.
James is survived by his loving wife Mary Lou Eaton Sadler and her two sons Ryan and Jason Eaton, his daughter Kimberley (Taunton) Yearous, his grandchildren, his brothers David and Steve Taunton, his sister Deborah Taunton and all of his extended family and friends.
Jim was a simple man, a father, a grandfather, a musician and a star who endlessly taught and entertained family and friends with his beautiful voice. He spent many years writing, teaching and creating music that touched the lives of virtually everyone that had the fortune to hear him play and sing. Jim walked to the beat of his own drum and played that drum with a rhythm that stole the hearts of all who walked beside him.
His departure comes as a deep wound, and is gravely felt by his family and countless others who loved him deeply. We sincerely appreciate your support during this difficult time and ask that in lieu of flowers, you consider a donation to Diabetes Canada www.diabetes.ca. Please share your memories of our beloved Jim on his Tribute Wall at www.mpcemetery.ca.
A Celebration of Jim’s life will be held at a later date in warmer weather.
He was loved more than he will ever know. May he rest in eternal harmony.
