Obituary of Zoraida Paula Guerra Hernandez

Zoraida Paula Guerra Hernandez, died peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre on April 13, 2024 at the age of 63. Zoraida was the beloved wife of James Andrew. She was a loving and devoted mother to Julio Perera Guerra (Elaine) and step-mother to Chris Andrew (Angela), Scott Andrew (Lisa), Katelyn Andrew (Piotr) and Laura (Alberto). She will be deeply missed by her siblings Sonia Guerra and Marciela Guerra as well as many extended family members and friends, especially her nieces Lorena and Kirenia. Zoraida grew up in Cuba. She met Jim in Cuba and moved to Canada where they lived together with their two dogs Jessie and Molly who she adored. They would travel to Cuba for months at a time to visit family and friends. For the last years of her life she was separated by distance from many of her family. However, they remained strongly connected. She was fiercely proud of her son Julio and spoke to him daily. Zoraida had an infectious smile and a kindness that was obvious in everything she did. We will carry the memories we share with Zoraida in our hearts. Era una madre cariñosa y devota de Julio Perera Guerra (Elaine) y madrastra de Chris Andrew (Angela), Scott Andrew (Lisa), Katelyn Andrew (Piotr) y Laura (Alberto). La echarán mucho de menos sus hermanos Sonia Guerra y Marciela Guerra, así como muchos familiares y amigos, especialmente sus sobrinas Lorena y Kirenia. Zoraida creció en Cuba. Conoció a Jim en Cuba y se trasladó a Canadá, donde vivieron juntos con sus dos perros Jessie y Molly, a los que adoraba. Viajaban a Cuba durante meses para visitar a familiares y amigos. Durante los últimos años de su vida estuvo separada por la distancia de muchos de sus familiares. Sin embargo, seguían muy unidos. Estaba muy orgullosa de su hijo Julio y hablaba con él a diario. Zoraida tenía una sonrisa contagiosa y una bondad evidente en todo lo que hacía. Llevaremos en el corazón los recuerdos que compartimos con Zoraida.
