Obituary of Donald James McCuaig

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Donald James McCuaig, who peacefully left us on Saturday November 9th, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on April 22, 1933, in Bengough Saskatchewan. Husband to the late Anne McCuaig (2007) and long-time partner to Joy Hyde. Donald was the father of Bradley (Kim) McCuaig, Graham McCuaig, the late Laurie McCuaig (2023) and Amy Lawrence. Donald enjoyed spending time with his six grandchildren, Johann McCuaig, Laura McCuaig, Caitlin McCuaig, Jordan McLean, Adriana Smith and Iona Adam. Donald graduated from the University of Saskatchewan’s Geological Engineering program in 1959, as well as the University of Toronto. Donald devoted his career to teaching mathematics and providing guidance counseling services to students in London. Donald had many hobbies including woodworking, reading and wine making. Donald was a man who had traveled the world, but also enjoyed the simple things in life. Though he will be profoundly missed, his family takes comfort in knowing that his love and teachings will remain with them forever. His legacy will live on in the values he instilled, the laughter he shared, and the love that surrounded him. A private gathering will be held at a later date for family and friends to share their love and memories of Donald.
