I taught with Denny at Clarke Road and, for several years, carved privately with him. A fine teacher and an esteemed friend.

To the family and friends of Dennis Dwyer,
Sorry to hear of Dennis's passing.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss.
I had the pleasure of being one of Dennis's construction tech students at H.B. Beal, 1972 - 74 and would consider him one of the best people whose life paths have crossed mine.
Dennis was a real good guy, a great teacher and facilitator of youth.
He seen me once hitch hiking to school and after recognizing me, stopped to pick me up. I got the Dwyer lecture of the day on dangers of, from then on if he seen me on route to school, he would stop and give me a lift in his red Mustang.
A real class act, always looking out for his people.
In the classroom environment he was one of a kind, very talented and respected for information.
Well ahead of his time. He excelled at actively nurturing the growth of those around him, with his leadership knowledge and making learning fun. A real character, beyond professional I would share, if all the stories could be told.
He left a lasting legacy in the construction field, shaping the next generation, with his teaching and mentoring - easy when you make your work your play.
Thanks for everything Dennis.

Denny was an awesome colleague who was always good for a tip, story and most importantly a laugh. I still recount as a young teacher our lunch conversation when he predicted that at some time in the future there would be police officers in the schools. The old guy was right, I have thought of him many times since my own retirement. I wish you guys the power and comfort of memories of a life well lived.

Dwyer Family, my deepest sympathies on Dennis’ passing.
Dennis developed my interest in woodworking at Beal between 1968 to 1971. In 1977, he and his class at the time framed an attached garage on my first house. Over the years he has been a friend and a valued source of knowledge and advice on several other projects that I have taken on.
One night, many years ago I was driving a horse at Goderich Raceway, while doing the post parade, I heard a recognizable voice from the grandstand “ Flynn you flunky” . Still get a laugh from that.
He will be missed.

Mr. Dwyer as I always called you, you’ve left a legacy and a strong daughter to carry it on. I remember visiting Darby when she lived in Brampton and on some of those occasions you and Mrs. Dwyer were there visiting for the weekend. I loved your energy, sarcasm and chats. You won’t be forgotten. Rest in Peace.

Denny, you will be sadly missed by everyone you met, inspired and taught. Andrew, Nichole and I enjoyed many a Sunday afternoon in your beautiful garden and pool. Many a bbq in your back garden surrounded by inspiring conversation about life, the stock market and any current news that was happening. You raised one amazing daughter - Darby who will carry your legacy of integrity, generosity and compassion for others. Your amazing son-in-law Nick who loves your daughter to the moon and back. You will be sadly missed and never forgotten. Rest in peace with your beautiful wife Betty.

Denny was a great man. Funny but yet kind. I first met him & Betty in 1998 while awaiting his grandson Nate’s birth. I loved them instantly. Darby was his little girl whom he dearly loved. He always had a story to tell. And boy could he get fired up. lol. He was a true family man who loved and protected his family. He is
Irreplaceable and will be missed so very much. Denny may you be in the arms of your beloved wife Betty and dancing into the sunset. Farewell my friend. May you now rest in peace. Don’t forget us because we will never forget how you impacted our lives! Carolyn
