Obituary of Dennis Alfred Dwyer

On January 28, 2024 Dennis Alfred Dwyer (D.A.D) joined his loving wife, Betty Dwyer, in Heaven. Denny will be dearly missed by his daughter Darby Dwyer and son-in-law Nick Woolley, along with his grandchildren Nate Dwyer, Nigel & Marley Woolley. Denny is survived by his brother Ron Dwyer, his wife Jean and family and many friends. We will miss his sense of humour, detailed to-do lists, appreciation for art, and stock market advice … we all learned something from Denny because he was always teaching those he cared for and we were many. Denny’s proudest accomplishment was turning numerous high school (building construction) students into successful careers in the industry. It was common for students to recognize him in a store or drop by the house to let him know what a valuable teacher he was to them. He began his teaching career at H.B. Beal SS where he revolutionized the department into the-place-to-be! After several years at Beal, Denny accepted the Department Head at Clarke Road SS where he retired at 55. Denny enjoyed wood carving and soap stone. He had a green thumb with outstanding gardens that we all enjoyed each summer. He studied the stock market and gave tips to anyone interested in learning how to make money, one dollar at a time. There will be no public service at his request. He is laid to rest at Mt.
